kiddOTherapy currently has four state licensed occupational therapists providing quality in home occupational therapy services in our community. kiddOTherapy highly values all of its therapists and the different skills they bring into working with every family.
Courtney Carsman is the owner, president and treating occupational therapist of kiddOTherapy. She earned her degree from Xavier University in 2007. She moved to the Lake Tahoe area in order to complete her Level II OT rotations and after graduation she stayed in the Lake Tahoe area.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to live in Tahoe! kiddOTherapy started as a necessity for the practice. Courtney was solicited by professionals and families in the community, thus realizing that there was a great need for home based OT services for children older than three years of age.
She highly values the family as an integral part of every child's life and is committed to supporting every family unit while making positive improvements within each child.
Courtney has completed a year in the LEND program specializing in a range of neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Courtney was recognized by the Child Abuse and Neglect Task Force and received the Kristine Nagy Johnson Award for outstanding individual performance.
kiddOTherapy works closely with various day cares, preschools, and day treatment programs within the community. They have a close partnership with Project Safe and Growing and all Early Learning Programs. These working relationships continue to grow as we service more children in the area and we are always open to servicing a child in a new place!
Additionally, kiddOTherapy is contracted with various OT programs nationwide, allowing Level II students to complete twelve-week rotations. They are supervised by a therapist and lead many sessions, including conducting evaluations. Students are a positive asset to kiddOTherapy, and many families benefit from their fresh ideas and collaboration with the therapist.
